  Audiophile Crossovers Design
  These are no compromise designs, combining highest quality components & refined values in a standalone housing.

Together this brings tremendous transparency, better imaging and stunning definition.

After a year in development we have now introduced a high performance PCB further increasing performance.
  Crossover Design Detail  
  Quality Components, hand matched:
  • Inductors. Jensen air cored copper foil inductors are manufactured in Denmark. Foil inductors have better 'skin' properties than wire wound coils, ensuring your low frequency sounds arrive in much better shape and depth. They are air cored to avoid any distortion from the ferrite cores found in most inductor coils. Insulation is by natural waxed paper to eliminate all dielectric effects. Finally the inductors are mounted using special lathed wooden bobbins to minimise vibration. These inductors are large, typically measuring 8cm in diameter by 3cm high.
     
  • Capacitors. All our capacitors have a high voltage capability, this means better signal transmission, which is critical for audio usage. We have specified Polypropylene metallised film Audyn capacitors manufactured in Germany. The Audiophile board has MKP Q4s rated at 400vdc with 5% tolerance. The Audiophile Plus board has Plus Caps rated at 800vdc with 2% tolerance, featuring induction free windings and an enhanced internal connection system.
     
  • Resistors. All our resistors are inductance free to prevent degradation of high frequency signals. The Audiophile board has German made Intertechnik MOX resistors rated at 10W, The Audiophile Plus board has American Caddock MV311 power film resistors featuring a patented inductance free technology, rated at 10W. Both offer a large upgrade against the treble graining wire wound ceramic types used in crossovers.
     
  • Printed Circuit Board. After one year of development we have now released a high performance PCB for the Plus version. This board features a simplified track design which has increased performance further. This is based on the wide signal track board of the Audiophile version. Both feature heavy duty 4mm fibreglass PCB.
Housing. The housing plays an integral part of the units overall performance.

  • Sorbothane® circuit board mounting to eliminate vibration from the main circuit board. (Plus version only)
  • Wooden 'cone' feet to minimise transmission of vibration to the housing. (Plus version only)
