  Crossover Installation
The Audiophile Crossover is designed to be placed on an equipment rack. This provides the same level of isolation as other electronics. This ensures the unit operates at its optimum.   Crossover Installation
  Cable requirements:

From the Amplifier(s) to the Crossover:
One pair of cables for mono amping or two pairs of cable for bi amping. These should have a length of 1 metre and be terminated with 4mm banana plugs for inputs into the crossover.

From the Crossover to the speakers:
Two pairs of cables run from the crossover to the speakers. These should be the same length. In most cases these will be identical cables, but as one pair of cables is carrying treble and the other bass it may be possible to use cables that have specific characteristics for these tasks.
The outputs use 4mm banana sockets, these are spaced to accommodate Naim style speaker plugs.

Connectors:
The Crossover is fitted with standard 4mm banana sockets for inputs and outputs.
The bridge uses a 4 way Neutrik Speakon plug, removed when bi amping. This is a high quality plug that features a locking system to ensure it remains in place.
It is possible to use the Neutrik Plugs as inputs for a bi amped system if preferred.

Bi Amplifier configuration:
If you are bi amping with similar stereo amps we recommend, if possible, that you use each stereo amplifier to power one channel (i.e left High and Low). This creates better channel separation and presents a similar workload to each stereo amplifier.
If you are going to run different stereo amps, it may be sensible to run the more powerful amp on the Low circuitry.

Naim Amplifier users:
Naim specifies a minimum cable length on the outputs from Amps to speakers. Placing the crossover early in this chain will have no impact on the load seen by the amplifier providing the total cable length (i.e. From Amp to crossover and from crossovers to speakers) remains equal to or greater than the minimum specified.
